Sound Klub is a series of small events and concerts held in Hobart curated by Matt Warren and Joshua Santospirito focusing on audiovisual / improv and experimental sound / performances. It has been ongoing since 2009 … so next year it will be 10 years old.
I’ve been smashing away for a while now – coming up with some themes that I’d like to run together into a solo-drumming performance artpiece in the not-too-distant-future. This was just me jamming, recorded it so I could hear where it was at – thought I’d share with ya’ll.
I played as part of the Hobart Improv Collective in an hour long relentless set – it was freaking unreal

An improvisation that I did at the now NOW series in September of 2012 in Sydney.
When Nadine and I went to Sydney a few weeks back to play at the now NOW series we met Annie and Robert from Amsterdam – SHACKLE.
Did some quick sketches with my new Brush pens of COLOUR – Annie pointed out that this was orange for the Netherlands! I must have done that subconsciously.
