Hobart Improvisation Collective – ongoing project
Putting on concerts and performances in and around Hobart with a gang of similar minded misfits.
April 2012 – ongoing The Healthy Dying Project
This is an ongoing project that was started with a group of artists – Sarah Wright, Nadine Kessler, Ian Paulin, Bruce Scouse and myself, first at the MoMa (MONA Market) which involved discursive concepts around the idea of bringing people to a place where they consider dying in a manner that they are comfortable with. The overall piece was part of a conversation had with the general public, my component involved sound art … I shall put more up about this in due course.
Sound Klub – ongoing
This is a series of concerts involving experimental, noise, AV and sound art performances. It was started by Matt Warren and Scot Cotterell in Hobart, and I have become involved from 2011 onwards helping to curate, organise and promote concerts as part of the ongoing Sound Klub series at Inflight Art gallery and other venues in Hobart.
August 2011 – The Shipwright & the Banshee
This was a performance involving a ghost-story, comics, poetry and sound that worked a treat. Collaborating with Christopher Downes – here’s a video of the event.
